8 lessons to live by

Hi Chow Chow lovers. Today we will be talking about 8 lessons everyone should live by. The first lesson people should live by is to go to bed on time. If you go to bed really late, chances are your not going to wake up on time. The second lesson is study for your test. As an 8th grader I realized how crucial it is to study for test and how much it makes a difference. The third lesson is to treat people the way you want to be treated. If you do this then your going to have an easier time making friends. The fourth lesson is to love your family. Even though you have friends that you want to hang out with, you also have your family that love you and want to spend time with you. The fifth lesson is to be kind towards others. Being mean usually never helps you make friends and it makes the other person you are being mean to feel bad about themselves. The sixth lesson is to be passionate about something. If you are passionate about one thing you probably will become really good at it. The seventh lesson is to help other people out. If you people out they will be really grateful and you will have a really nice satisfying feeling. And the last lesson is to have a great time doing all this.

"The Erne From the Coast"

In "The Erne From the Coast" Michael has to go away to see his sickly brother leaving Harry with his sickly lamb. Later on, an erne comes and grabs the lamb, causing his dad to be furious and not believing him. After receiving a beating from his father, he sets out to kill the bird only to get his Tassie killed.

Harry is transformed towards the end of the story and becomes more of a brave man. This transformation happens as his dad beats him and calls him a liar. This causes Harry to be angry and passionate about finding the bird. An even that changed me in the past was when I decided to take the job of taking care of five dogs. After taking that job I have developed a new love for my dogs. This made me the animal loving guy I am today.

The Relationship with my parents.

Hi chow chow lovers. Today I will be talking about the relationship with my parents.

In some ways, I am similar to my father and mother. I am similar to my father because he thrives to become successful in life. He also wants to be remembered as a man who did not quit even when times were rough. He wants to be known as a forgiving and kind. The ways that I am similar to my mom is that we both enjoy cleaning and keeping everything nice and tidy. In some ways we are very different. For example, my dad is a very hard working man. Becoming successful is not easy as some people think. He works constantly while I stay home and enjoy being what every teenage kid is, lazy. It is basically the same ideas with my mom. She also works really hard to raise us up to be the good people she wants my brother and me to be. My relationship with my parents changed and evolved much over the years. As I have become older they seem to trust me with a lot more things than they should.

What I said in the first paragraph is that it is hard to be a successful adult. It teaches me to always work hard for my money and not to take anything for granted. Another thing that my parents teach me is that if I wanna become successful like them, I can not be my lazy self and that I should work hard for everything in life. Honestly, I do take my parents for granted. I feel as if I need to give more respect and appreciation for what they do for me.

What Innovation Made the Biggest Impact

Hello chow chow lovers. Today I will be talking about what innovation made the biggest difference in the world. I believe that the invention of farming made the biggest change in the world. It helped many people survive harsh winters and hard times. It also caused the population of the world to go up dramatically. Without farming, we wouldn't have the technology we have today. They're wouldn't be as much people to make such inventions.

Progressive Era

Out of all the issues in this chapter, I believe that treatments of African Americans are the most pressing issue today. Now that we abolished slavery and gave African American's equal rights, there is still some racism and hate on both sides. There are many things that happen to each other because of their race. It's come along enough that we use the same bathrooms and we use the same transportation such as buses. Even though that we share thing there are some people that are not comfortable being around people with a darker skin tone. This shows no matter how much we are going to try and eliminate the thought of segregation in our heads there is always going to be that one person.

What would I want to change in the world and why.

What I would want to change in the world is all the violence. By all the violence, I mean the things like Isis and all the bad things about them. I know that not all Muslims are radical and violent so I hope that I can possibly help to convert them to be unradical and to be calm and peaceful. The other thing I would want to change is all the typical domestic violence in America and all the other countries

Fog Horn

Branden
English 8 F
Mrs.Nordgaarden                      The Fog Horn by Ray Bradbury
3/16/16

For all this time I have been traveling the deep sea, looking for a thing that looked like me. When I was growing up, I remember having a family and people that took care of me. Now that everyone that I love are gone, I have been traveling the world looking just for one other creature like me. Being down in the ocean by yourself with no one else to talk to makes me feel lonely and left out. One day I heard someone like me. I started to swim towards the sound.

While traveling to the sound, I think in my head that I might have someone to talk to. Maybe there is a family of my kind out there willing to take me in and let me stay with them. There is also the possibility that they might reject me and send me back to where I came from. I do not know whether to be excited or to be scared.

When I got there to realize that it was an imposter, it made me furious. I furiously tackle to so called imposter. While doing this, some other thing came to my head. One of those thing is why someone would make that sound and pretend to be something else. Knowing this I pushed harder on the imposter.
